We at the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce deeply mourn the passing of President George H.W. Bush, an extraordinarily great United States President, a towering national leader and world-class statesman and, perhaps most of all, a truly warm, caring, lovable human being.

May you, his family and all his loved ones derive solace from inspiring memories of this wonderful human being, father, husband and national leader, and may you all experience only happy uplifting events from now on.

I was lucky enough to spend treasured time at Kennebunkport and the White House with this uniquely marvelous, special, gentle man both prior to and during his presidential tenure, and I can honestly say I have never had the pleasure and privilege to share time with such an exceptionally bright, warm and pleasant man in all my life. I remember one time when George invited me to meet with him and National Security Advisor Brent Snowcroft and Richard DeVos, the founder of Amway, and two or three others. After extensive all morning discussions, we broke up and the rest of them were leaving to play a round of golf. I told the President I did not play golf but preferred and did play tennis. He actually took the time to call up and arrange for a local tennis pro to play with me before he left for his golf game. What a very special, truly remarkable “great” man.

We at the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce of which I am Chairman, and Duvi Honig, the selfless, inspirational Founder and President, literally dedicate our lives to help people obtain “Parnassah”—job and a living wage—just as Rambamone of the most learned and brilliant biblical and Talmudic scholars of all times counseled, “the highest form of charity is helping a man to earn a living for himself and his family.” To this end we have come to recognize, “if you give a man a fish you feed him for one day, if you teach him how to fish you feed him for a lifetime.”

We at the OJC not only help individual men and women get jobs, but we help individuals start their own companies so that they can create many new jobs that will help others to earn a living and achieve the dignity of financial independence. In that effort we attempt to emulate our great President George H.W. Bush who epitomized the highest form of caring for his fellow Americans and indeed for all mankind.

G-d bless his soul!

May he rest in peace!

With Love!

J. Morton Davis, Chairman

Duvi Honig, President
