Mossad Chief Yossi Cohen met with US President Joe Biden at the White House on Friday, as Israel is scrambling to dissuade Washington against rejoining the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, currently the subject of indirect talks in Vienna.

According to an unsourced report by Israel’s Channel 12 News, Cohen met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken a day earlier, voicing grave misgivings about Israel’s most important ally reentering the Obama-era accord, whose current framework Israel believes to be deeply flawed.

The report said that Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed Cohen on the talking points to raise with the top US officials.
