This year, because of the coronavirus lockdown in Israel, no one is permitted to visit the graves of fallen soldiers on Yom Hazikaron.

In light of this, Rav Yitzchok Dovid Grossman, rov of Migdal Ha’emek, went out to the graves of the soldiers to daven for them on the nation’s behalf.

This year presents us with a unique opportunity. The Coronavirus has breached many walls and brought our people together in new ways.

IDF soldiers today find themselves on the streets of Bnei Brak, Betar Elite and Jerusalem, helping the Haredi community. As one people, we all share the pain of the day but each community chooses to mark the day in its own way.

Our Haredi brethren have proposed that they would like to mark Yom Hazikaron by completing the book of Tehilim 23,816 times. That’s over 3,000,000 chapters of Tehilim dedicating each book to a fallen soldier.
To enable them to do so, graduates of several elite intelligence units within the IDF created a web technology which allows Tehilim to be said for a specific soldier whose name, picture and story accompany the Tehilim chapter.

The Haredim invite Jews in Israel and around the world to join them in marking the day in this way.
If you would like to do so, please enter the site below and select as many chapters as you’d like to say. This will be for some just a small step, for others it represents a gigantic leap.

We are ‘One People: loving and remembering’.

    Come join us!
