This poor woman, who was in a marked crosswalk, was killed by a Mercedes driver who ran a red light and made an illegal u-turn, according to police (NYDN). Is is not just an “accident”, it is murder.
Time to stop treating dangerous drivers with kid gloves!
P.S. Redesigning dangerous locations, like where this terrible tragedy occurred, for more safety, should be done ASAP as well.
Stay home be safe.

We can’t simply stay home all the time. This intersection has been known as unsafe for a long time. Street redesign should have happened before this tragedy. Let’s make sure we get adequate street redesign before the next fatality happens.
