Mubarak Murder Charges Dropped

Yesterday, an Egyptian court dropped murder charges against former Egyptian Presdient Hosni Mubarak, who is accused of having 239 protesters killed during the 2011 uprising against him.

Charges against seven of Mubarak’s senior officials were also dropped.Mubarak is currently serving a three-year sentence for a separate charge, embezzlement of public funds.

The verdicts mean no one is being held responsible for the deaths of more than 800 protesters at the hands of security forces during the 2011 revolution. Read more at BBC News.
