Elon Musk has voiced support for suggestions that the U.S. should exit both NATO and the United Nations. Gunther Eagleman, a prominent MAGA figure, made the statement on X, writing, “It’s time to leave NATO and the UN.” Musk subsequently shared the post, adding, “I agree.”
Musk, who has a close relationship with President Donald Trump and holds a “special employee” position within the White House, did not go into further detail on his position. However, his comment followed a push by social media users referencing Senator Mike Lee of Utah, who has advocated for a U.S. withdrawal from both organizations.
Musk has previously expressed concerns over NATO’s structure, noting that the U.S. bears an outsized responsibility within the alliance. He has questioned the relevance of NATO following the fall of the Soviet Union, as reported by the New York Post. Musk has also raised objections to the U.S. financial contributions to the U.N.
It remains uncertain whether Musk’s position aligns with that of the Trump administration, or if Musk’s influence could have an impact on future U.S. foreign policy decisions, according to Newsweek.
While Trump has not directly endorsed a U.S. exit from NATO, he has consistently pushed European nations to increase their defense spending, asserting that the U.S. should not be solely responsible for financing the alliance.
Musk’s comments come in the midst of growing tensions, particularly following a heated meeting at the White House on Friday, where President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were involved in a dramatic exchange, culminating in Zelensky being asked to leave.

When, in 1917, Russia was taken over by the evil Communists, it became an “Evil Empire.” In World War II, it successfully repelled the evil Nazi German invasion of its land and shoved the German Nazi armies all the way back into Germany and, along with the Western Allies (mainly the US, England & Canada), it greatly helped completely crush Nazi Germany. As it did all this (of pushing back the German Nazi armies) though, the countries of Eastern Europe had the bizarre experience that they were “liberated” from one tyranny of the Nazi Germans only to now be under another tyranny of the Communist Russians. And the Communist Russians were really much worse than the Nazi Germans had been. For the main endeavor of the Nazi Germans had been to kill people physically. But the endeavor of the Communist Russians was to destroy people SPIRITUALLY, to convince them to NOT believe in Hashem and remove all religion from their lives.
Furthermore, the numbers of people that the Communist Russians (and also the Communists who took over China and other Eastern Asian countries) PHYSICALLY killed WELL SURPASSES & EVEN DWARFS the numbers of people the Nazi Germans killed.
Furthermore, in the period after World War II, evidently and most probably obviously with backing & support form Communist Russia, Communist groups in other European (not Communist) countries attempted to instigate rebellions to turn those countries to be Communist. So, especially with the now powerful armies of Communist Russia now holding an iron tight grip over all of Eastern Europe, understandably, there was a great fear that Communist Russia would try to send its armies further west to try to, Chas V’Shalom, take over all of Europe!!
Therefore, in the late 1940’s, the United States, Canada, and the several countries of Western Europe established an alliance called the “North Atlantic Treaty Organization” – “N.A.T.O.” to stand against Communist Russia. They put together a very large strong army, with plenty of nuclear bombs, that made it glaringly clear to Communist Russia, that any attempt to try to take over any part of Western Europe would immediately be with them (of NATO) a full THIRD World War, in which they would probably very heavily hit Communist Russia with nuclear weapons.
This long standoff was known as the “Cold War,” and it was an extremely immensely honorable really sacred endeavor!! For, very simplistically, it was the “good” “Free World” of “Free” nations “Under (Hashem)” (Of course, it was “Christian Style” belief in Hashem, with also good respect of Am Yisroel) standing against the “evil” “Tyrannical Dictatorship” “Communist World” of “Enslaved” nations (enslaved by tyrannical Communism that endeavored to tear people) AWAY from Hashem.
