  1. Thank you for this excellent video, which is long, but SO VERY worth watching! The doctor gives the clearest instructions of what to do, and why and how to do it, to protect oneself, including what to do if a member of the household appears to have caught the Corona virus, R”L. He also clarifies when to go to the hospital (if breathing becomes difficult). He says it so much better and clearer than I am doing–Just watch it!
There was one answer I didn’t hear him provide: He highly recommends carrying around Purell, and using a drop of it to sanitize hands frequently, like after turning a doorknob, pressing an elevator button, finishing a shopping trip, etc. But one lady asked, what do we do when we can’t find Purell, because it’s sold out? The doctor said he’d get back to that issue, but if he did, I must have fallen asleep for the moment–probably because I’ve been staying up too late worrying about the situtation! I think I’ll sleep better after this video. Of course, there are no guarantees; but this was a good lesson in what our earthly hishtadlus should be, while we daven to the Aibershter for the emes’dige solution min hashamayim.

    • You can make alcho-gel, combining alcohol and aloe vera gel &/or glycerin, water, fragrance. The problem is that the concentration of the product needs to be 60% alcohol, and the alcohol is often only 70%, before being diluted. 90-99% alcohol is also available in some places so work accordingly. All equipment used must be clean and preferably sterile, use gloves if necessary, and according to one site, wait 72 hours before using to allow the alcohol time to clean all germs in the rest of the formula. Washing with soap and water for 20 seconds is the best, so Purell is only when you have no access to soap and water.

      • No need to make gel, you can use alcohol 70% or 60%. You can dilute with hydrogen peroxide and it will kill basically everything. If you use alcohol-based disinfectant a lot, make sure to use hand cream. It’s important that skin is intact and healthy at this time.
