jerrold-nadlerToday, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) strongly condemned the recent occurrences of hate crimes against members of the Jewish community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

He issued the following statement:

“I am outraged by the recent acts of senseless violence and bigotry aimed at members of Brooklyn’s Jewish community. That two such acts of anti-Semitic violence occurred within such a short time period, and that the suspects told police they committed the most recent assault ‘for fun,’ are especially troubling. These hate crimes are an ugly reminder that we must all continue to speak out against expressions of hatred and intolerance. We must stand together as a community and declare loudly and clearly that we strongly condemn violence against anyone on the basis of religion, race, ethnicity or identity.”
