NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine on Thursday commended Israel for its attempt to land a spacecraft on the moon, even though the Beresheet spacecraft failed to land on the moon.

“While NASA regrets the end of the SpaceIL mission without a successful lunar landing of the Beresheet lander, we congratulate SpaceIL, the Israel Aerospace Industries and the state of Israel on the incredible accomplishment of sending the first privately funded mission into lunar orbit,” Bridenstine said in a statement.

“Every attempt to reach new milestones holds opportunities for us to learn, adjust and progress. I have no doubt that Israel and SpaceIL will continue to explore and I look forward to celebrating their future achievements,” he added.

  1. All shuttles that went to other planets WHENEVER THEY HAD YIDDEN ON THEM always blew up. Remember shuttle Columbia? Had a Jewish lady on it. Many others also blew up cause they had yidden on it.

Message is Hashem put us down here on EARTH. don’t try conquering other planets that Hashem made for other kinds of species and animals etc… Not made for humans.

Only other place for yidden to go is the olam Haemes-the world above-and this world below of earth is just a pathway to the true world above us (pirkei avos)

    • The Beresheet spacecraft was only headed toward the moon. When the US was talking about landing someone on the moon, Rav Yaakov Kaminetzky was asked if he thought it would happen. He answered that yes, because the moon is not considered part of the heavens.
Besides, do you have evidence that “many others blew up because they had Yidden” on them? We can only try to learn from what we see. If you think a space shuttle blew up davka because a Yid was on it, then learn from that thought what you can. But you have no way of knowing with that kind of certainty why any one spacecraft exploded.

      • Nothing happens by coincidence and that is something WE ALL CANT DENY.

Every tragedy and situation has a direct message from Hashem. I.e. can’t be found in any Sefer or read from a Gadol in a newspaper after the tragedy is struck R”L neither do we have prophets today, so the only answer is that the wake up call comes directly from Hashem.

Do you even know what the shocking wake-up call message of 9-11 was from Hashem? i.e. can’t be found in a sefer or newspaper nor is it from me or a Rav)

Do you know that 9/11 is our sad day for over 2000 years? Tisha B’av, 9 is tisha Av is 11 Elul is 12 & Tishrei is 1, how does that grab you? How does that shock you? what about the phone number 911? that’s also tisha B’av. that’s Americas emergency number for a minimum of 50 to 100 years, why didn’t they pick 111? are you going to tell me cause a baby might press 111 by mistake? These 2 tragedies-above-were only hint’s to tisha b’av, but it wasn’t enough to bring klal yisroel to start doing teshuva. So what happened ON tisha b’av 2005, i.e. no more hints to tisha b’av? Gush Katif/the Gaza Disengagement, it was supposed to happen on tisha b’av but they waited until Motzei tisha b’av, they did not even wait till the next morning, which means it was still tisha b’av in Chutz La’aretz (diaspora). Now let me ask you something, are these 3 tragedies-relating to tisha b’av-coincidence or is it a straight message from Hashem that its time for klal yisroel to wake up & do teshuva. You think about it, this is not between people, this is between each person & Hashem.
