Senior Likud officials say Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Yisrael Beyteinu Chairman Avigdor Liberman will meet this evening to negotiate a coalition. The Prime Minister’s Spokesman denied the meeting was scheduled, but the Likud insists that it will indeed take place.

In the afternoon, the Right Parties Union Chairman Rabbi Rafi Peretz met with Liberman and the two discussed the need to end the crisis and bring the government together as quickly as possible, even before the deadline imposed on the Prime Minister.

Earlier, Liberman slammed the Likud and accused it of failing to advance coalition negotiations.

“The current government isn’t a right-wing government, it’s a completely religious government; we won’t be partners in an halakhic government,” Liberman said.

  1. There should be zero comprise on drafting Yeshiva boys and girls to the Shmad Army and on chillul Shabbos.
And Mr. Lieberman, if you don’t like a religious Jewish government what in the world are you doing in G-d’s Jewish land?

  2. B”H for Peleg and Satmar whom the government reckons with and cannot be ignored. If not for these 2 who are strong in holding onto yiddishkeit the way Rav Shach zt”l and Rav Eliyashiv zt”l and other Gedolei Yisroel wanted, most yeshiva boys would be in the Shmad Army today.
