Netanyahu Announces Rollback Of Coronavirus Restrictions Starting Sunday

Incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Saturday evening that Israel will begin to rollback restrictions on movement and reopen the economy as the country sees encouraging numbers related to coronavirus pandemic.

At the start of the new week, Netanyahu said that many employees in industries such as hi-tech, manufacturing and services will be allowed to go back to work, albeit with a number of health measures in place.

“Tomorrow [Sunday] we will begin to reopen access for both individual residents and the economy,” Netanyahu said while delivering his remarks from the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. “We will increase the number of employees in the workplace from an average of 15% to 30%.”

  1. Will they unlock shuls or find excuses not to, although groups of tourists and groups at beaches have been fine all along?
