Netanyahu: ‘If There Are Elections, We Will Win — But We Are Not There Yet’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Knesset on Monday evening as he aimed to stave off premature elections, asserting confidently that “if there will be elections, we will win — but we aren’t there yet.”

At the same time, the prime minister called for unity among his coalition, insisting that “the state needs a stable government, our government”, as he aimed to avoid a crisis that would topple the government ahead of its natural term end in November, 2019.

The latest poll affirmed that in fact the Israel electorate still stands behind Netanyahu and his Likud party, both earning salient figures, Channel Ten news revealed Monday.
