Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday commemorated the Christian holiday, emphasizing that his country says “Merry Xmas.”

“I’m very proud to be the prime minister of Israel, a country that says ‘Merry Christmas’ first to its Christian citizens and to our Christian friends around the world,” Netanyahu said in a video posted to Twitter.

“I’m proud that Israel is the country in which Christians not only survive, but they thrive because we believe in this friendship among people and we protect the rights of everyone to worship in the holy shrines behind me,” he said. Read more at The Hill.

  1. How moving! I look forward to the day there will be thriving synagogues in the vatican. Plenty of kidnapped and brainwashed yidden are already there, and perhaps a few valutabile and antique things in storage. Merry friendship among peoples: war is over if you want it, war is over now!

  2. Whats the big deal. The govt of israel is a goyish govt. Whose elite were born jews.so if they wish a merry xmas its no difference between them and the usa

    • Pretty good idea. We will start wishing yidden merry christmas and we can build more churches. Jerusalem can be our capital and Esav can sit. Then we can wonder about liberal society and blame it for someone else’s sin.

There are ways to deal with the sin of bad vote and bad abomination in our society. We daven and ask Hashem to pronounce decree. We do not sit with Esav because he has his sword to their face. Its ours too.

If the churches are helpful, think bet they are more victorious in only their good sense of new times. There are plenty of hopeful years to hear their community in the market. Less to worry.
