Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday their intention to present a comprehensive “large-scale” plan to “revive the economy” of the country hit hard by the coronavirus crisis.
“Today, we are proposing a nine-step plan to restart our economy. I hope the vast majority of the government and the Knesset [Israel Parliament] will support it in order to side with businesses and the self-employed in Israel. We will take care of every citizen,” Israel’s longest-serving premier stated.
Shortly after the announcement, Gideon Sa’ar’s right-wing “New Hope” party said it would unveil its own economic plan.
