Netanyahu says if Allies had bombed death camps in 1942, some 4 million Jews might have been saved.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday slammed world powers’ failure to act against Nazi concentration camps during the early years of the Second World War, saying that the Allies’ inaction sealed the fates of some four million Jews in a speech marking Israel’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day.

“If the powers in 1942 had acted against the death camps — and all that was needed was repeated bombing of the camps — had they acted then, they could have saved 4 million Jews and millions of other people,” Netanyahu said at an official state ceremony marking the start of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Netanyahu was referring to new evidence from recently released UN documents that showed that Allied powers knew about the death camps as early as 1942, at least two years earlier than was previously assumed. Read more at I24News.
