New Daily Show Host Trevor Noah Scrutinized For Tweets Mocking Jews, Israel, Women

South African comedian Trevor Noah, the newly announced successor to Jon Stewart as host of the satirical television program “The Daily Show,” has come under the microscope for past social media posts that disparaged Jews, Israel, and women.

Some examples of Noah’s controversial tweets relating to Jews and Israel include “South Africans know how to recycle like Israel knows how to be peaceful,” and “Almost bumped a Jewish kid crossing the road. He didn’t look b4 crossing the road, but I still would hav felt so bad in my german car.”

Stewart, who is Jewish, came under fire in pro-Israel circles last summer for what critics considered to be pro-Hamas bias in his segments on the war in Gaza.
