New Study Shows Pink Eye May Be a Symptom of COVID-19 in Children

A new study form China reveals that up to 20% of children infected with the novel coronavirus may suffer from eye problems, the most common being conjunctivitis or pink eye. Children who had other symptoms, such as a cough, were more likely to have ocular complications, according to researchers.

According to Today, similar symptoms appeared in adults, but experts said that the new research can help doctors diagnose COVID-19 in kids.

“The study tells us as ophthalmologists that, if you’re seeing children and they have pink eye or other signs of conjunctivitis that could be a sign of COVID-19,” said Dr. Neil Bressler, editor of JAMA Ophthalmology.

  1. Pink eye is most likely a symptom of children killing themselves with dangerous masks that cause hypoxia, blood clots and whatnot? Why doesn’t fake news report the many children who died from wearing masks? Why do we only read it on social media?
