Hospitalizations for the coronavirus in New York state fell below 1,000 for the first time since March 18 as the state continues to blunt the spread of the virus.

Melissa DeRosa, the secretary to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo tweeted that 996 people remain hospitalized for COVID-19, crediting residents’ strict adherence to social distancing and other health measures with helping to flatten the curve.

Nearly 390,000 people in total have been infected with the virus in the Empire State, and over 31,200 people have died.

“Our approach has been vindicated and the phased reopening based on facts is working,” Cuomo said Wednesday. “The numbers continue trending in the right direction as we went from one of the highest infections rates to one of the lowest in the country, so we will also allow slightly larger social and religious gatherings, but people need to continue wearing masks, socially distancing and washing their hands frequently to stay safe.”

  1. No. The reason there are less hospitalizations is because anyone with a half a brain realizes that hospitals are killing fields. The murder rate in hospitals, such as the one shown in the picture you’ve aptly posted, is out of control. It wasn’t the Coronahoax people were dying from. It was the HOSPITALS!!! A person comes in to the emergency room feeling weak. Wow, okay great. Let’s just put him on a ventilator. No testing necessary. Don’t give him any food or drink for a week. Oh boy, he died of starvation. Okay, let’s record it as a Covid death. The dumb guillibe idiots walking around with their stupid masks on their face will just eat up this information. Blind sheeple mentality.

    • Well said 10:49. While Hatzallah shall be blessed and blessed for taking over the care of sick patients, doctors and nurses have lost their complete trust for most people.
