U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley on Saturday said Washington is “locked and loaded” to target Syria if the “regime is foolish enough to test our will” after Friday’s airstrikes. Speaking at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, where Russia accused the U.S. of violating international law, Haley said President Trump had expressed a readiness to keep the pressure on Syria in case of any future chemical weapons use.
“When our president draws a red line, our president enforces a red line,” she said. Haley also blasted Russia for enabling the Syrian regime’s “barbaric inhumanity.” “While Russia was busy protecting the regime, Assad took notice.
