Matt Platkin was sworn in yesterday as the acting attorney general of New Jersey, assuming the legal authority of the post as he awaits Senate confirmation. Gov. Phil Murphy nominated Platkin on February 3.

“It is an honor to begin my new role as Acting Attorney General today,” he said on Twitter. “I am humbled beyond measure for the opportunity from [Governor Murphy] to serve my home state and its great residents.”

Platkin, who is Jewish, was sworn in using an ArtScroll Stone Edition English Tanach. This year is the 25th anniversary since the release of that Tanach.

      • 9:13 is right. Everyone knows that these masks don’t protect anyone from anything. It’s sheer political. Doctors don’t wear them for virus protection. Since coronavirus was a hoax, why are they still wearing it?

  1. Fact 1 is a world class dope! It is the law whether you choose to listen or not is no different than anyone going through red light or driving while on the phone. You don’t have to agree but don’t disrespect someone who is following the law.
