chris-christieRepublican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said this weekend that he feels sorry for supporters of his Democratic rival Barbara Buono because she is running a campaign based on anger.

Christie vowed not to engage in “garbage” politics ahead of Tuesday’s election as he faced supporters yesterday at a packed VFW hall along the Jersey Shore.

Meanwhile, Barbara Buono – who now serves as a state senator – has been intensifying her political attacks against the popular governor. She cited revelations in a new book that former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney shied away from Christie as a potential vice presidential pick because of political baggage.
