As of today the United States has no active Ebola cases. Dr. Craig Spencer is officially free of the virus and will be released from the hospital on Tuesday, New York City health officials say.
The 33-year-old doctor contracted Ebola after treating patients in Guinea. Spencer sparked momentary panic in New York City after it was revealed he had taken the subway and gone bowling before checking himself into the hospital on Oct. 23.
