NO CAMP AGUDAH TORONTO? Ontario Overnight Camps Will Not Operate This Summer, Day Camps Are Possible Amid Pandemic

Ontario has announced that overnight camps will not be permitted to operate this summer due to COVID-19, but plans to open day camps are underway, CTV News reports.

If confirmed, this would impact Camp Agudah Toronto and other camps.

Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce made the announcement at a news conference today, where they announced that schools will remain closed until September.

“Unfortunately, we just can’t have camps with 500 kids living together right now,” Ford said. “I know that this will be tough for many kids who look forward to their overnight camps.” Read more at CTV News.

  1. CAMP AGUDAH TORONTO did NOT MAKE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. A decision has not been made yet. They will announce after Shavuos.

  2. The Ontario Camping Association is still having talks about the possibility of opening in August, if deemed safe.
