Ontario has announced that overnight camps will not be permitted to operate this summer due to COVID-19, but plans to open day camps are underway, CTV News reports.

Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce made the announcement at a news conference today, where they announced that schools will remain closed until September.
“Unfortunately, we just can’t have camps with 500 kids living together right now,” Ford said. “I know that this will be tough for many kids who look forward to their overnight camps.” Read more at CTV News.

Smart decision by the government. As much as my kid loves camp, it’s not worth the risk.
