Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi publicly addressed, for the first time, the proposal made by U.S. President Donald Trump that Palestinians from Gaza should be relocated to neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan, according to a report by Reuters.

Sisi made it clear that Egypt would not participate in the displacement of Palestinians, condemning such a move as an “act of injustice” that would pose a threat to Egypt’s national security.

During a joint press conference with Kenyan President William Ruto, Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to working with Trump to bring about peace between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs, emphasizing the importance of a two-state solution.

“Regarding what is being said about the displacement of Palestinians, it can never be tolerated or allowed because of its impact on Egyptian national security,” Sisi stated.

He further emphasized, “The deportation or displacement of the Palestinian people is an injustice in which we cannot participate.”

Trump initially floated the idea of relocating Gazans over the past weekend, telling reporters he had discussed it with King Abdullah II of Jordan.

“I’d like him to take people. I’d like Egypt to take people,” Trump said of the Jordanian King. “You’re talking about, probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, ‘You know it’s, over.’”

The U.S. President added that the relocation could be either “temporary or long term,” citing the longstanding conflicts in the region as part of the context.

Trump reiterated his position on Monday, sharing that he had also raised the issue with Sisi.

“I’d like to get them living in an area where they can live without disruption, revolution … when you look at the Gaza Strip it’s been hell for so many years,” Trump said.

“I wish [Sisi] would take some [Gazans]. We helped them a lot, and I’m sure he’d help us. He’s a friend of mine. He’s in a very rough part of the world, to be honest. As they say, It’s a rough neighborhood. But I think he would do it, and I think the King of Jordan would do it too,” Trump added.

These remarks came after Egypt’s Foreign Ministry had already firmly rejected Trump’s proposal, restating Egypt’s “continued support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land.”

  1. Injustice to the Palestinians, my foot. Hazard to Egypt! These are bloodthirsty murderers who wreak havoc. They are a useful cause for the Arabs to use to gore Israel, but no Arab country is a true friend of these loathsome people.

  2. They’re decrepit vermin that nobody wants. But they’re all comfy saying that Israel must have them and create a two state solution on their soil so that they can badger, murder and terrorize the Jews.

  3. You know who else doesn’t want them. Hkbh
