health-insurance-obama-careAccording to some early reports, HealthCare.gov enrollment fell significantly short of the Obama Administration’s goals, likely due to the federal health care website’s glitches.

Sources told The Wall Street Journal that initial tallies suggest less than 50,000 people successfully signed up for private health insurance in October.

The administration had reportedly expected 500,000 people to enroll during the site’s first month. Official enrollment numbers are set to be released by the Department of Health and Human services this week. Read more at Business Insider.

  1. The reasons that the numbers are so low is that Obama promised that your can keep your doctor and healthcare plan. So, who needs to enroll in Obamacare?

  2. At that rate, it should take 100 years to get everyone signed up.(300,000,000(people living in USA)/ 50,000( the amount that signed up in two months) =1200 months/12 months a year= 100 years. This is of course without taking into consideration the expected growth rate in the next 100 years, which could actually extend it another few hundred years.
