Non-Profit Distributes Treifa Meat for Herzlia’s Needy

A non-profit organization distributing food for Herzlia’s needy was discovered to be buying treifa meat and chickens from an abattoir in the Arab town of Tira.

“It is shocking that a non-profit meant to do chesed in the town is causing hundreds of families to eat treifos and neveilos,” said Councilman Elad Tzadikov, who exposed the atrocity. “The administration’s lack of oversight borders on criminal neglect in view of kashrus and veterinarian supervision.”

Tzadikov called upon the town’s welfare to distribute the food via Chabad, which already prepares meals for hundreds of the town’s poor.
