North Korean Missile Footage Was Faked

North Korean state television aired footage Friday that supposedly showed a submarine-launched ballistic missile test from December, but a California think tank reports it was faked.

A research associate at Middlebury Institute’s James Martin Centre for Nonproliferation Studies said, “The rocket ejected, began to light, and then failed catastrophically.”

South Korean officials said the video was doctored with Scud missile footage from 2014. Read more.
