New York – Congressman Lee Zeldin has emerged from the four-way Republican primary for governor as the winner, beating out Andrew Giuliani, the son of Rudy Giuliani, according to a race call from The Associated Press, NPR reports. Zeldin, of Long Island, had the backing of Republican Party leaders across the state who voted earlier this year to make him their designated candidate — a distinction that gave him an automatic spot on the primary ballot without petitioning.
Meanwhile, nine months after she stepped into the job of New York governor as a relative unknown, incumbent Democrat Kathy Hochul easily locked up her party’s nomination Tuesday, setting her on an expected glide path to win the office in November, NBC reports. Hochul was serving as an under-the-radar lieutenant governor under the shadow of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo until last year, when he resigned amid harassment allegations, catapulting her into office.
Hochul beat back primary challenges Tuesday from New York City’s elected public advocate, Jumaane Williams, and U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi, a moderate from Long Island, NBC reports. She now turns her eyes to becoming the first woman to win election to the New York governor’s office this fall.

We must remember that Mrs. Hochul was Lieutenant Governor under former Governor Cuomo; in other words, she was Governor Cuomo’s biggest assistant. We must further remember that at the height of the Covid crises, Governor Cuomo enacted some of the most abusive and destructive Lockdown and Quarantine measures, which directly caused the death of countless tens of thousands of people. He has A LOT of blood on his wicked hands.
We applaud that Mrs. Hochul did vehemently condemn Mr. Cuomo’s horrid corruption excesses, for which he was forced to resign. She further honorably promised: “No one will ever describe my administration as a toxic work environment.” However, there are no indications that Mrs. Hochul was opposed to the mean Covid policies of her boss and many other Democrat governors; on the contrary, with her call for strict school mask requirements, it looks like she is strongly continuing parts of that tyranny. Please see the website called UnitingNYS (which is a com site) and look at the category of “Lawsuit.” The site relates that now under Governor Hochul, the New York State Department of Health has established a new set of rules for isolating people, called “10 NYCRR 2.13 ‘Isolation and Quarantine Procedures.’” According to these new regulations, a person may have good health, but, if someone thinks that he or she might be dangerous, the person can be forced to completely isolate from his or her family and society. Again, the officers & doctors do not need to prove that the person ACTUALLY DOES HAVE a dangerous illness, and they do not need to prove that the person ACTUALLY IS a threat to the health of other people. All they need is to do is to somehow SUSPECT that he or she MAY POSSIBLY be carrying a contagious disease, and they can have him or her forced into total isolation.
The place for the isolation may be a room in a hotel, a ward in a hospital, a cell in a prison, a slot in a special “detention center,” or a compartment in a special quarantine “camp”; the place of the isolation and the time of how long will be the isolation is fully up to what the State Commissioner of Health will decide.
Again, a person can be well and never did anything wrong, yet, under the evil policies of Governor Hochel and many other wicked people like her, the stability of him or her keeping his or her freedom is extremely fragile.
