snowStep aside, Polar Vortex. New York and New Jersey declared states of emergency as the Winter Storm Janus hit the East Coast and about 14 inches of snowfall fell in parts of New York City.

Thousands of flights have already been canceled, but, far from blowing over, the storm is expected to be followed by a deep freeze.

In snow-covered Illinois, the temperature dropped to 25 degrees below zero and could go as low as 40 below.

The storm closed government offices in the nation’s capital and gave students another day off after the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.

The storm stretched 1,000 miles between Kentucky and Massachusetts. It hit hardest along the heavily populated Interstate 95 corridor between Philadelphia and Boston, creating perilous drives for millions of motorists.

The National Weather Service said that 16 inches of snow has fallen in Manalapan, N.J. Parts of Maryland have 11.

  1. Ask any fool who lives on the east coast why he or she lives there and the response is “I love the 4 seasons”.

NY spends millions to brainwash the fools who live in the “Garbage” state with their phony slogan “We Love NY”.

While New Yorkers were freezing and Floridians were soaked in rain it was a warm, dry 80 degrees in Los Angeles which has the second largest frum community in the USA.

  2. The East Coast is for Polar Bears not humans.

Come visit Los Angeles any day of the year and you will see the difference.

Be careful! After visiting L.A. you may never want to go back to N.Y. again!

  3. I say buck up many years ago that was winter all the time, cold and snowy. My fathers car was always buried in snow during the winters. For a few years you all had a lighter winter, now it is back to the true winter of the east coast, so in a few months spring will be on its way. Smile it will be over pretty soon.
