New York City police are beefing up their presence in a Queens neighborhood where two women were assaulted in as many days. Police say they are searching for one suspect and are waiting for DNA evidence. A 25-year-old woman was followed as she got out of a subway around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect flashed a gun and told her to obey or he’d kill her. Police say she was assaulted.The second victim, a 21-year-old woman, was waiting at a bus stop around 5:20 a.m. yesterday when she was also approached by a man with a gun. She told police she was taken to a top-floor building landing by a man wearing a green hoodie and bandanna covering his face.
Additional foot patrols as well as undercover detectives are being sent to the Queens neighborhood of Far Rockaway.
