i24 News – An investigation published today by the New York Times concluded that Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed by an Israeli soldier during a raid in the West Bank, noting that there is no evidence that she was deliberately targeted.

In the detailed analysis of last month’s gun battle in Jenin, the newspaper states that “the bullet that killed Ms. Abu Akleh was fired from the location of the Israeli military convoy, most likely by a soldier from a high-ranking unit.

“The Times found no evidence that the person who fired the shot recognized Ms. Abu Akleh and targeted her personally,” the news outlet added. “The Times was unable to determine whether the shooter saw that the journalist and her colleagues were wearing protective vests emblazoned with the word Press.”

The report said that these findings contradict several Israeli claims.

“The evidence reviewed by the Times showed that there were no armed Palestinians near the journalist when she was shot. It contradicted Israeli claims that, if a soldier had mistakenly killed her, it was because he had been shooting at a Palestinian gunman,” the media outlet noted.

“The Times investigation also showed that 16 shots were fired from the location of the Israeli convoy, as opposed to Israeli claims that the soldier had fired five bullets in the journalists’ direction.”

  1. Oh, okay. The privileged white NY Times said that the Israelis killed her, from the comfort of their New York headquarters, so it must be so. No further questions or inquiries necessary.

    • And you privileged American think you have a clue what goes on in Israel. Let me help you, the Israeli military and police are not the angels you see them as being. They do all sorts of horrible things, even to Jews. I have seen it. My friends have been through it.

  2. Did the jew hater nyt paper ever question an other report from other countries where a American reporter was killed who killed him ? They just went on as if nothing ever happened, so this stinking arab was a setup to get killed by the IDF but instead go her self killed by a stinking arab PA terrorist and blame Israel for killing a reporter

  3. “The Times investigation also showed that 16 shots were fired from the location of the Israeli convoy, as opposed to Israeli claims that the soldier had fired five bullets in the journalists’ direction.”

The Israeli claim of “THE SOLDIER had fired 5 bullets…” does not contradict the statement that “16 shots were fired from the LOCATION of the Israeli convoy”. NYT’s attempt to create a non-existent contradiction, proves it’s malice intent of wrongly accusing the Israeli Army. Nothing new here.

  4. You know, sometimes Israeli soldiers were killed by israeli bullets. And the same has happened with American soldiers killed by American bullets, and every other country.
    Ever heard of “Friendly fire”?!
