Today, Iran’s foreign ministry revealed that President Hassan Rouhani and President Obama have been in direct communication via letter, despite the two countries not having official diplomatic communication.
Obama apparently sent Rouhani a congratulatory note after his election victory, which was exchanged “through current diplomatic channels.” Read more.
