obama-netanyahuPresident Barack Obama, following talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah, said today that it was “more vital than ever” to get Israel and the Palestinians back to negotiations toward a peace deal.

Obama said the Israelis and the Palestinians must “begin negotiating a process whereby they can create two states living side by side in peace and security.”

But Obama, starting a week of intense Middle East diplomacy against the backdrop of popular unrest sweeping the Arab world, offered no new proposals for breaking the Israeli-Palestinian impasse after the failure of U.S.-led peace efforts.

The president plans to give a major policy speech on the Middle East on Thursday, meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday and address an influential pro-Israel lobbying group on Sunday.

Praising the King’s reform efforts, Obama said the United States was helping Jordan with economic aid and providing 50,000 metric tons of wheat to ease the pain of high world commodity prices.

“I am pleased to announce that we have mobilized several hundreds of millions of dollars through OPEC and that will leverage ultimately about a billion dollars for economic development inside of Jordan,” Obama said, referring to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. He provided no details.

  1. The solution to the Holy Land and Judea Samaria/West Bank land use issue is for the land to be shared. The right of return issue can be dealt with as well if the areas of the The Temple Mount, Jerusalem, The State of Israel proper, Judea and Samaria, Gaza, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia fall under the reach of a divinely mandated command structure. i.e. Messianic Sovereignty, A Kingdom. With an economic development plan implemented and the assistance of the international community the region will really bloom. No other permutation or combination will work.

  2. Sharing can only work if both sides want to share. If one side becomes greedy or disrespectful sharing comes to an end,… probably a violent one.

  3. we don`t need neither goym nor goyshe pseudo yidden in eretz isroel !
all of them should leave the eretz ha-kodesh to a tummadigge place that fits them best.
isroel was ment to be just for shomrei Torah we-Mitzwot and not for soney Hashem !
