obamaAmerican hasn’t done enough to address left-behind communities and marginalized populations, says President Obama, noting in a press conference that young men of color are more likely to end up in the criminal justice system then college or a job.

Speaking about the situation in Ferguson on Monday, Obama weighed in on the fairness of America’s uneven lock-up rates that begin with young African American and Hispanic boys getting suspended from school at higher rates than other children.

“They tend to have much more frequent interactions with the criminal justice system at an earlier age,” Obama said. “Sentencing may be different. How trials are conducted may be different.” Read more at The Washington Post.

  1. “They tend to have much more frequent interactions with the criminal justice system at an earlier age,” Obama said.

Why do you think that is?

  2. He is 100% correct on this.

In NYC, where most young people are ethnic minorities, if a young person gets caught with marijuana he/she gets prosecuted.

In most of the mostly the white suburbs, simple marijuana possession by young people is almost never prosecuted even though there is far more drug use.

  3. To add to #2: With the Left, there either double-standards or no standards at all.

We live in a world filled with double-standards and lies. And nobody in America illustrates this point better than Barack Hussein Obama, the Shakran-In-Chief himself.

  4. Last time I checked, Jews were a minority in the US. We make up 1.7 percent of the population – less than 2%. If you think that our “white” friends on the Right will protect us forever, remember that the Jews of pre-war Germany thought the same way.

If the police and courts can get away with targeting other minorities, what makes you think that they couldn’t target us if it were politically useful? White kids who smoke marijuana get probation, black kids get felony jail time. What’s to say that someday if you or I make a mistake on our income tax that we go to jail for fraud, while other people just get fined?

We learn Avos in the summer – and it says not to get too friendly with the ruling authorities, because they only befriend us when it’s to their own advantage.

If everybody isn’t safe, then nobody is safe – including you and me.

  5. If blacks commit more crimes than other races, what are the police supposed to do? Just ignore reality and let everyone else suffer?
