obama-kerryPresident Obama reportedly told John Kerry that he was free to disregard the Iran deadline, anonymous officials told The New York Times, after Iran tried to leverage the looming date for more concessions in the talks.

Instead, Kerry was told to play hardball with the Islamic Republic, showing that a nuclear deal is no more important to Obama than it is to Iran’s own leadership.

The deadline set for the latest stage of negotiations came and went Tuesday, and was extended to the end of June. Read it at The New York Times.

  1. What a baloney spin by Obama’s spokes-team, the NYT seeking to put a positive spin on this.

The fact that the deadline passed, without Iran facing any consequences means that the US lost on this one! Not to worry, Obama in his supposed strength will be willing to extend the deadline in June as well!

  2. Obama will do ANYTHING to reach agreement with Iran. Obama ignores the “red lines” with our enemies and throws our purported allies under the bus.
