House Democrats are planning to renew their efforts to obtain President Trump‘s federal tax returns after he leaves office next year.
“Based on the principle of the issue, not the politics of it, yes, you have to stay with the case,” House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) told The Wall Street Journal this week.
Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.), a senior Ways and Means Committee member who has been a leading advocate for obtaining Trump’s tax returns, told the Journal that lawmakers “have an obligation to examine this and follow the money.”
In April 2019, Neal requested Trump’s personal and business tax returns from 2013 through 2018 from the IRS. He cited a provision in the federal tax code that states that the Treasury secretary “shall furnish” tax returns requested by the chairpeople of Congress’s tax committees.

So they’re only concerned about a meaningless old tax return of a sitting President but they’re not concerned about Hunter Biden’s quid pro quo shake down of the Ukrainian government.
A Congressional committee named “Joint Committee on Taxation” is required to review *all* IRS refunds that are over $2 million. Trump’s $73 million refund has been under review by this committee since 2011 and is still on-going. So contrary to what the news media tries to tell you, Trump’s taxes are under Congressional examination currently and since a long time ago. So don’t thee guys in Congress trust their own committee? If the don’t trust themselves, why should anyone trust any of them?
Both the Senate and the House have already flipped to Republicans but until it’s official fake news need to show they’re still around.
Hunter Biden was not and is not a servant of the public. And Trump is, or rather should have been but is only a servant of his own pocket. So that is why Trump’s tax returns are interesting and Hunter Biden’s are not.
