The IDF has announced the Nahal Brigade is operating in the Zeitun area of the Gaza Strip, and has located weapons, destroyed terrorist infrastructure, and eliminated terrorists.
The Nahal soldeirs found weapons including Kalashnikovs, combat vests, and grenades, and destroyed terrorist infrastructure.
Additionally, an air force aircraft worked in cooperation with the brigade to eliminate the terrorists identified by the soldiers who posed a threat. The IDF announced it has killed a PIF terrorist who participated in the October 7 massacre.
In a later announcment, the IDF stated it was striking Hamas targets in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza.
“We identified in the past weeks attempts by Hamas to rehabilitate its military capabilities in Jabalya. We are operating there to eliminate those attempts,” said Daniel Hagari during a briefing to reporters.
Alongside the IDF’s operations in Gaza, the IDF’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) also announced an additional field hospital run by the International Medical Corps.
The addition of this field hospital makes a total of eight field hospitals established in Gaza since the beginning of the war.
The hospital was established in the Deir al-Balah area in the central Gaza Strip, and began operating in recent days as part of the IDF and COGAT’s initiative to bolster humanitarian aid to the civilian population of Gaza. The location is designed to provide humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians evacuated from the eastern Rafah area.
