Members of the Torah community have grown concerned over the news that Rav Yeshaya Yaakov Portugal, the eldest son of the Skulener Rebbe, Rav Yisroel Avrohom Portugal, in need of a kidney transplant. Rav Yeshaya Yaakov heads the Meor Hagolah kehillah in Montreal.
On Erev Sukkos, Rav Yeshaya Yaakov was feeling very unwell and doctors reportedly prescribed the wrong medication, complicating the illness.
Doctors at the hospital where he is hospitalized told family members that Rav Yeshaya Yaakov’s condition has deteriorated and his liver has ceased operating. The doctors added that at the present time, the situation is so dire that a liver transplant cannot be performed because of the danger it poses to his life.
All are asked to say Tehillim for Rav Yeshaya Yaakov ben Raizel.

Oy! HaSAhem Yeracheim!
btw, The Canadian medical system is what obama plans for us! Although mistakes can happen anywhere – May-ais HaShem Hee – it happens in socialized medicine way too often! Doctors and nurses are overburdened, stressed-out and grossly underpaid!

Don’t understand. First it says that he needs a kidney transplant. Then you write that he can not get a liver transplant because his liver ceased operating. Whats happening? Both kidney and liver are not working?
Hashem yerachem!!!
