Oorah launched its Purim mailing with a clever, albeit misleading, fake Shmorg CD enclosed. Many people found this both entertaining and humorous, and while Oorah appreciated and welcomes feedback, the organization tells Matzav.com that one response completely took them by surprise.
“What innovation!” Rabbi Shmuli Rosenberg, Oorah’s mutimedia director, related to Matzav.com this morning. “You really had us laughing out loud at the office, and we wanted to send you a little something back. Unfortunately, we have no idea who you are. Well, whatever your name is, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us your resume at HR@oorah.org!”

Funny!
Good shtickel
But I wonder if he got the Schmorg
It is crazy to cahrge so much for a DVD in stores they go for $25 but watever
I wonder if there are any bootlegs of the Schmorg 3
Fiveish- I assume you’re not the REAL Feivish (the one who does the Oorah jig), but why are you complaining about the $36? Don’t you also get a chance at the raffles for that? Plus, it’s tzedakah for a great cause. You get the most bang for your buck at the Oorah chinese auction.
Btw, the Moshol Man was great again this year!
keep up the good work
From Shushan Purim On its 72$
I’m dying to see it raise your hands and bring them down etc.
I know it
I hope to see the shmorg/fievish.
afo fievesh.
I hope to see the shmorg. I know the fievish dance
OOrah does good, but they get on my nerves
I love Oorah and I love the Smorg and I love Feivish and I love Moshol Man and I love it all.
Oorah song wave your hands and bring them down is like uncle Moishe. When i first herd it i said to my 12 year old brother turn off that uncle Moishe your not 3.
kol hakavod for the wonderful work of this great mosad of chesed and kiruv.
As far as price goes, you get 2 CDs. Of course, the main point is tz’dakah, not a music CD sale.
its illegal to forge a check, so i dought he will ever reveal his name
the fake shmorg really had me disappointed. i thought i got it and then i saw it was a paper. very saddening.
Very clever!
As an avie supporter of Oorah for many years, I have to say you really surprised me this time. Here is a “real” scenario, a family of small chilodren who is having a hard time financially opens the mailing. The children are all excited because they love Feivish and Mashul Man. There is nothing there.
You would have been much better off not sending anything. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
