According to all TV exit polls, Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir is the man who prevented the right-wing bloc from achieving a majority of 61 Knesset seats.

The Otzma Yehudit party received tens of thousands of votes from right-wing voters, but failed to pass the electoral threshold and did not receive any Knesset seats.

Ben Gvir himself addressed the failure and blamed Jewish Home chairman Rabbi Rafi Peretz and Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett for the result.

“This evening is a clear statement to anyone who wanted to erase this path. We are here to stay. We have run long distances and we will continue to represent those ideological voters, who without us have no real home that represents the opinions they believe in,” he said.

  1. They knew what the results would be. It’s not worse than voting Mickey Mouse as a write in as a form of protest.

  2. Actually, it is the other way around: Likud and Yamina apparatchiks did a full blown voter suppression operation. If not for fake self-fulfilling-prophecy polls and not for mass messages that Otzma quit at the day of the election and other sneaky suppression tactics, Otzma would have cleared the treshold, as there are plenty of voters who support Otzma’s ideology. If there was no crooked voter suppression, Otzma would have added its 4 knesset seats to the tally of right wing spectrum parties, and then the right wing government would be formed. In other words, Likud and “religious zionists” would rather loose an election than let Otzma in. Apparently, they view Otzma as an existential threat: unlike all of them, Otzma’s raison d’etre is purely ideological, as opposed to selfish pursuit of power for the sake of power – once this will become common knowledge, it would be the end of the fake right, and all the self-serving politicians would have to get real jobs such as janitors and burger flippers. Besides, Otzma is an idealistic outsider, whom the self-proclaimed elitist class despises with passion. Otzma should stay and keep on fighting – eventually enough voters will become immune to voter suppression tactics, and Otzma will be able to give voice to the Jewish nation’s interests.

  3. Those who prevented the right wing from winning where those G-d haters and fake right wing parties who demonised Otzma and their voters, discouraged them from voting and excluded Otzma from and of the voting blocks. They did that knowing full well how it will end thus wasted everyone’s vote for a 3rd time.
