More than half of the union nurses at a New Jersey hospital wouldn’t feel safe being treated at their own facility, NJ.com reports. An overwhelming majority said the hospital is an unsafe working environment. And the nurses say they frequently face crushing workloads that put “patients and staff at risk.”
Those are just a few of the accusations leveled against Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center in a withering new report released Thursday by Health Professionals and Allied Employees, the largest union representing health care workers in the state.
“Nothing could be more damning than to have 54 percent of [registered nurse] respondents say they would not feel safe being treated at JSUMC, even though they work in the hospital,” the 16-page survey said.
Hackensack Meridian Health condemned the report, saying it was “devoid of facts and should be scrutinized closely for their motives and timing.” Read more at NJ.com.

I had babies at 4 different hospitals all via c-section (2 hospitals in Manhattan and 2 hospitals in NJ). My experience at Jersey Shore was by far my best experience. The nurses were the most caring there. Manhattan hospitals not so much.
Its a terrible hospital not sure why organizations send there. The Doctors are also terrible there.

I wouldn’t feel safe being treated at their facility and many, many other facilities for that matter. Likewise, I also wouldn’t feel safe being treated by the aforementioned union nurses who are members of these nefariously evil unions.
And yet Paul Kimball hospital is off limits. No one is EVER allowed to criticize it
actually kimball recently sent out surveys and asked the community if can they improve themselves in any way
my grand father was just treated and their they wear very niece and caring and helped him .
jersey shore is recommended because the doctors and nurses try to do their best . yes there are some bad apples everywhere and i know someone.who was starved and mistreated in jersey shore but every hopatile has its bad apples .
I had Surgery in June at Jersey Shore. Y a well known surgeon.
The nurses are PROFESSIONAL and they are great!
It’s a top notch place.
