The Donald won’t win over many Jews with this one.

Yesterday, during an hour-long town hall on MSNBC, GOP front-runner Donald Trump said he’d remain “neutral” on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“Let me be sort of a neutral guy. Let’s see,” he said. “I don’t want to say whose fault it is. I don’t think it helps.”

Some other comments he made:

“[Peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians are] the toughest deal in the world right now to make [and it’s possible that it is] not makable.

“It is a very, very tough agreement to make. I was with a very prominent Israeli the other day. He says it’s impossible because the other side has been trained from the time they’re children to hate Jewish people. But I will give it one hell of a shot. That I will tell you.”

Marco Rubio has promised to “make restoring the U.S.-Israel relationship a top priority.”

Ted Cruz said that on the first day of his administration, he would “recognize Jerusalem as the eternal, undivided capital of Israel.”

Jeb Bush wrote, “Given the deep historic, cultural, and emotional ties that bind the United States and Israel, as well as our shared interests in fighting the growing terrorist threat and combatting Iranian aggression, the U.S.-Israel relationship should be stronger than ever.”

  1. When the USA started getting involved in twisting Israel’s arm to make “concessions” to the Arabs, that’s when the trouble starts. So if you think about it, Mr. Trump’s view is pretty good for Israel. Let the Israelis and Arabs work it out between themselves.

As for strategic co-operation, the USA has a great need for Israel, as a bastion of democracy and stability in the middle East. This will continue regardless.

  2. If he’d said something innocuous such as “I’ll be fair” it would’ve also been noncommittal and sounded a lot better. Being “neutral” between the attacker and the attacked is morally wrong. I doubt we’d appreciate any country taking a “neutral” stance between us and Al Qaeda after 9/11.

    • While “I’ll be fair”, sounds noncommittal, it still implies interference, which is unwelcome. With the help of Hashem, the “attacked” have been able to take care for themselves. It’s only when the USA steps in with their “concern”, is Israel’s hands tied behind its back.

  3. Trump is very offensive. The idea that an American would choose him over a more dignified candidate shows that exaggerated hate and poor moods are very sale and gold for the poor and ignorant. This is very poor.

  4. It is becoming clearer by the day that Trump is a closet Democrat Liberal. He is just like Bl$$mberg was as a Mayor. A lifetime Democrat and he suddenly changes party affiliation just to get elected. He should really be running on the Democrat side, but he’s such a coward, because he knows he cant beat the Clinton machine. The dumb stupid RINO’s are idiots for letting this phony hijack their party. Trump is a carbon copy of Romney & McCain. Attack and bad mouth your “fellow” Republicans and then fold like a cheap camera against the real enemy, the Democrats.

  5. Anyone who is surprised by anything this guy does is living in lala land. The guy has no ones back besides his own with zero morals. Whatever he feels like at the moment or thinks will help him win, he says. It’s sad to see that he has so many supporters. Shown how bankrupt the American people are.

  6. The Hamas Charter asks for the killing of Jews – Trump would be neutral. Saying whose fault it is does not help
Well, this is the whole problem. You cannot be “neutral” when you have one side being a totalitarian theocracy with its Charter calling for the killing of Jews and the other side being a democracy where you have all the minority rights protected. Would Trump be neutral in judging the conflict between ISIS and the US?
