This may have been Misameach’s most enchanting event yet. This year’s annual event, sponsored by Amerigroup and Chavi and Chuny Herzka, brought a twinkling winter wonderland to life for children and families who battle serious illnesses every day.

Larger than life snowmen, snow flurries on the ceiling and walls lit up by Meir Kolko Lighting, and a delicious s’mores bar greeted the families as they entered Lake Terrace and received a bulging gift bag packed with toys, games and treats. Each family was treated to a beautiful photo shoot by Yossi Rosentahl of Magnet Memory, with their photos printed on magnets for a memorable souvenir.

The hall was pumping with exciting music played live, pro-bono, by a 5 piece band featuring keyboardist Yaakov Zionz, Gal Gershovsky on drums, Yidel Friedman on the saxaphone, Shlomi Baumwolspinner on bass, and Yumi Sebbag on guitar. The joyful beats streamed from the top notch sound system supplied gratis by Chesky Levi.

The stunning décor, built by Nailed It Handyman with wood donated by Lakewood Building Supplies, transported the guests to a wintery world, with a humongous igloo along one side of the room featuring all kinds of carnival booths and activities, and a lifesize log cabin where volunteers served delicious snow cones, cotton candy, and fresh popcorn through the windows. A moon bounce obstacle course and exciting Virtual Reality Exhibit by Mr. And Mrs. Lemmer of Reali-T filled each corner of the room.

The National Chaplain’s Association arranged for the Ocean County Sherriff’s office to bring their amazing K9 Dog Unit Show.

The delicious food and hot fleishig buffet was sponsored by Epstein’s Meats, The Fishing Line, Chesky Seitler, Franzoz Donuts and Golden Fluff.

Suddenly, the MC, Moe Rabi, began to call up the surprise performers; Jewish superstars who came to sing their latest hits for the Misameach families – including Yehuda Green, Uri Davidi, Shalom Lemmer, Chaim Blumenfeld and David Haziza. The children and volunteers danced and sang the night away, their faces shining with joy.

The fun didn’t end there… the main feature of the evening was still to come. The Chicago Boyz acrobatic group performed thrilling circus acts that defied gravity as the crowd watched in awe.

Special thank you to Moshe Sheinberg Productions and Brighter Events for donating the stage lighting and to Prett-a-Party for help with the décor.

The memorable event was once again a testament to Misameach’s dedicated and hardworking volunteers who spent countless hours of their days and nights pulling together this incredible evening.
