Oversight Chairman Probes Pruitt’s $50-A-Night Condo Deal

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) has begun probing Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt’s $50-a-night housing arrangement on Capitol Hill, a GOP source told The Hill Friday night.

The investigation adds to a growing controversy surrounding Pruitt, who already faces some calls to resign from both sides of the aisle.

President Trump has indicated support for Pruitt, but noted this week he would be looking into the mounting accusations against him.

  1. This is laughable. One corrupt taxpayer funded politician excoriating another. EVERY politician is a drain on the taxpayers. %98 percent of them are do-nothing welfare cheats, living off the fat of the land. I equally hate them all. If one has a problem or issue, they NEVER return phone calls or emails. WHAT DO THEY DO ALL DAY? They don’t serve us. They serve themselves. $50 a night hotel room is a joke. (Btw, can any of your readers get a room so cheap in Washington DC? It happens to be an expensive City.) That is the least of the taxpayers problems. Pheh. Drain the swamp. Cut Washington in half. Nobody would even notice. Let them go out and get a real job like the rest of us.

  2. Dear no representation, I am happy you said that first I was just going to write something like that too. What do they really do all day, I have to be, yes have to be, at work 8+hours a day, yes have to be there, in person, so I have to check in and out, who watches them? No wonder they have all wandering eyes when there is nothing to do you usually find something to do and it may not be good. So when all these saints in congress start complaining about some one who is with someone, who is not their wife, I laugh they all do it yes, 99% have something on the side with the opposite sex, money, favors, etc. etc. give me a break.
