rav-ovadiah-yosefAt about 8:30 this morning, Yerushalayim police apprehended a Palestinian man who tried to get near the home of Rav Ovadiah Yosef, head of Shas’ Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah, in Har Nof. The man apparently also tried to approach the homes of MK Ariel Atias and MK Meshulam Nahari.

Following intelligence information, security forces cornered the man and brought him into custody. According to reports, the man was known to police prior to this incident.

Because of the sensitivity of the incident, details are sketchy. One thing seems certain: Security at the homes of rabbonim and MKs will go up a notch.

  1. I know one thing Tefila is at 7:15 and its over no later then 8am. Hacham Ovadia then goes in his home to receive people then meets usually with Eli Yishai then learns most of the day. This is not the first time. So many times Arabs tried to gao after Maran Hakadosh!

  2. I don’t believe it palestinian has nothing to do
with religous leaders especially if that person
is Rav Ovadiah Yosef, There was a gathering of many religous Jewish leaders from different part
of the world gathered in Iran and had a debate
in press TV. and talked about Zionism. So,all Muslims respect this people and is it possible that Israelis leave a suspect and free him in
such serious matter. Please don’t believe every
thing is told to you. They just want to make
    hatred between nations.

Considering the amount of gibberish that is being posted – maybe you shouldn’t criticize Afsaneh for his grammar. If you don’t like his ideas, say so, but don’t make snarky remarks about his language skills. You yourself seem to have a bit of a problem.

“Gibberish” is not a proper noun and should not be capitalized. Also, please note that in English the adjective usually precedes the noun, so you should write “comprehensible English” instead of “English comprehensible.”

Perhaps try using your grammar check as well as the spell check. Better yet, stop making snide remarks to people when you make the same mistakes yourself!

  4. Sphardi thank you for chacham ovadyahs schedule although it was unnecessary and yes this did happen many times Rachel that’s the way to go to stick up for another yeshivisheh yid who doesn’t know how to spell, but don’t you also think that it is important for one to know how to spell and use proper grammar ? I happen to have heard from my legendary rebby a distinguished talmid of rav ahron how important it is. So don’t write rong hashkafah for others to read just stick to beis yaakov and go of the internet!
