A Palestinian man died near Ramallah on Sunday morning, after an ambush on IDF forces backfired.
The 22-year-old, from a nearby village, was part of a group of Palestinians who blocked an access road with rocks in a bid to trap an IDF patrol vehicle.
During the attack, the hapless man threw a Molotov cocktail at the vehicle, which swerved and overturned, crushing him.
The IDF reported that the attack occurred as military vehicles were leaving the area, having confronted a violent riot in the area earlier in the night.
The military statement also detailed that to avoid the ambush, the IDF vehicle swerved and reversed, before hitting a Palestinian who had tried to throw a petrol bomb at the soldiers.
