One Palestinian was reportedly killed during clashes that broke out near Nablus (Shechem) today after repair teams from the Samaria Regional Council entered Kever Yosef to fix the damage caused to the site by Palestinian rioters on Shabbos.

The repair work lasted three hours.

On Sunday night, two Israelis were shot while attempting to approach the kever.

The victims, both charedi men, were taken to Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikva for treatment, and were in moderate condition.

The men claimed they had been trying to reach the kever to repair the damage caused by Palestinian rioters.

On Motzoei Shabbos, Palestinian rioters set fire to parts of the site and smashed parts of the tomb structure.

The attackers also reportedly damaged a large chandelier at the site, shattered a water tank and broke an electrical cabinet.

Responding to the incident, Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Ran Kochav told Army Radio that the vandals had been captured by Palestinian Authority security forces.

The tomb has undergone multiple repairs in past years following attacks by Palestinians. JNS

  1. Why don’t they give Yosef to Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. as a Ramadan gift? Why doesn’t this government also give Rechavya and the Beit Hanasi along with it as a show of good will in the name of peace? In fact, maybe Bennett should give his mother away to them too? Like, why not? It will most certainly promote peace! NO?
