According to a new Gallup Poll released Thursday, 60% of Democrats now have an unfavorable view of Israel, marking the first time a political party has held such a majority level of anti-Israel sentiment.
Only 33% of Democrats view Israel positively, a significant drop of 14 percentage points from the previous year, as reported by the survey. Republicans, in contrast, have an 83% favorability toward Israel, making the 50-point gap between the two parties the largest on record. This surpasses the previous record of a 30-point difference observed in 2024, according to Gallup.
“The widening partisan gap likely reflects Democrats’ opposition to Israel’s actions in the Israel-Hamas war. It could also be a reaction to Trump’s strong backing of Israel, highlighted in his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House earlier this month,” Gallup stated in its analysis.
Meanwhile, the survey shows that 48% of independents have a favorable opinion of Israel, while 44% view the country unfavorably.
Overall, 54% of Americans express a positive view of Israel, which marks the lowest level of favorability since January 2000, according to Gallup.
“U.S. policy toward certain countries lacks bipartisan consensus, with Republican and Democratic leaders having more distinct views about policy toward Israel, Mexico, and Ukraine. The result is increasingly wide partisan gaps in ratings of those countries,” Gallup noted.
The lowest favorability for Israel ever recorded among Americans was 45% in 1989, according to the poll.
Gallup conducted the survey with 1,004 adults between February 3-16. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points and a confidence level of 95%.
Even the Dem governor of NY had no qualms about sitting down with Sharpton.
It’s not very clear what viewing Israel “unfavorably” means. The question to ask is how much do you hold Israel to be to blame for the current Gaza crisis. I hold Israel zero percent to blame for the Gaza situation, but I do view Israel unfavorably in the way they handled the entire situation, beginning way before Oct 6, when they created the atmosphere allowing for these attacks to occur, thru today, where they handle and have been handling much of the situation childishly and without clarity. I also view Israel negatively for their anti-chareidi politics, from the legislature to the judicial to the military. I’m sure most readers here agree with me on this, so one needs to define what you’re polling for, not poll vaguely and then “analyze” it, as Gallup did here.
This is what’s heading our way in the future. the numbers will only get worse. There is no more center left democratic party. only extreme radical left.
