
It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Mr. Kurt (Klonimus) Oppenheimer z”l. He was 98.
Mr. Oppenheimer was a beloved and respected figure in both Fleischmanns, New York, where he owned and operated the renowned Oppenheimer’s Regis Hotel, and in Lakewood, New Jersey, where he was a longtime resident of the Clifton Avenue area.
Mr. Oppenheimer was a man of immense chesed, known for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering integrity. His life was a testament to his strong values, living with ehrlichkeit and yashrus, always putting others before himself. His contributions to the community, both in Lakewood and beyond, have left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Greta, his sons R’ Yechiel and R’ Asher, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom continue to carry on his legacy of Torah and chesed.
The levayah will take place today at 10:30 a.m. at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, located at 613 Ramsey Avenue in Lakewood, NJ, followed by kevurah at the Cedar Park Beth El Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey.

Many gedowlim of yore stayed at his hotel for a relaxing being hazmanim break. He had many pictures to show guests who requested to see them.
