Far Rockaway, NY – There are siyumim and there are siyumim.

Recently, Efraim Shalom Frischman celebrated a siyum on Maseches Megillah. But it wasn’t just any siyum. In fact, it was Efraim Shalom’s 50th (!) siyum on the masechta.

A talmid of Mesivta Chaim Shlomo of Yeshiva Darchei Torah and a son of Rabbi and Mrs. Eliyahu and Chaya Frischman, Efraim Shalom celebrated his siyum with his rabbeim and roshei yeshiva.

Pictured above are (L-R) Rav Aaron Goldman, Rav Yitzchok Hauer, Efraim Shalom and Rav Yaakov Bender.

  1. Obviously a very mature young man. Bucks the contemporary trend to just rush. Instead, savors the knowledge acquired and enhances it. The key to sucess – chazarah. Unfortunately, a fading art.

  2. Efrayim Sholom is an outstanding talmid im Mesivta Chaim shlomo of yeshiva Darchei Torah. Not only is he an outstanding talmid , he is also an extrordinary baal midos, thus reflecting the vey extraordinary chinuch inculcated within him by his very special parents, Reb eliyohu and mrs. chaya frischman.

  3. Ok. This is Efraim Shalom’s mother. First of all, thanks to all who commented. Naftali, Halevai Vaater. He and everyone here should complete Shaas at the right time.
Secondly. my husband and I take zero credit.
The credit belongs to his fabulous Rebbeim who have always supported him through the years. I am afraid to single out anyone But I must mention Rabbi Hauer who is pictured and has kept a Kesher with Efraim Shalom for many years. Rabbi Goldman, his current Rebbe who is guiding him to great heights. Rabbi Feiffer who taught him last year and connected him to Rabbi Dovid Neuman from Monsey who runs the V’haarev na program that got Efraim Shalom into this. Rabbi Bender who steers the ship of Yeshiva Darchei Torah and has guided our family for years and THEY are the ones who deserve credit.
Oh. And Efraim Shalom really put hours and days and weeks and months and we are so happy for him to be proud of himself. Pride means we did something to do that. He did it all on his own.
And we are happy for our other kids for their accomplishments. One pasuk for this one, a perek for that one, a masechta for that one. Each child should feel success in whatever they strove for.
